Medium is Letting Me Down Gently

A wise man said “Free press is good press.”

I have 61 followers. First of all, I hate calling people “followers” but that’s not the point of this piece. I need 39 more followers who are inclined to click that button.

I all of a sudden feel like my five paragraph essay in grammar school was handed back to me with a ton of red marks. I’m “not meeting level expectations.” My writing is good enough to be shared on Medium but not good enough to monetize.

What ever happened to the reference of having 4 quarters instead of 100 pennies?

To my 61 minions, you are not just a number, not just a penny, not just a follower. You’ve read my thoughts in black and white. If it’s good enough for you, it’s great for me. Even if Medium thinks otherwise.
